Happy 8th Birthday Cole!

Saturday was Cole's birthday and it was also his first Pinewood Derby. 4 days before the derby I got a call from one of the Primary counselors who asked if Cole wanted to participate in the Pinewood Derby. Now anyone who knows how long it takes Sal to create a car will know that 4 days isn't nearly enough time. However, Sal said he could "come up with something". He and Cole immediately went to work. Cole said he wanted a Ferrari and after scouring the Internet for designs, they finally agreed on one.

I honestly didn't think Sal would finish the car in time, but he stayed up until 2am Saturday morning finishing the paint. Check-in and weigh-in was at 1:30pm so there was plenty of time to add the decals and wheels.

Thanks Granny and Papa for the Birthday present. Cole looked official in his new Cub Scout shirt.

For Olivia it was all for show and she had to pose so her Dad could take her picture.

Cole did a great job and I think he had fun racing his car. Sal has already started thinking about ideas for next years Pinewood Derby car. I cannot divulge any information, you will have to wait and see.

I can't believe Cole is 8. Time goes so fast! He can't wait to be baptized, but I think he isn't looking forward to fast Sunday's.

Cole, we love you SO much and can't wait to see you be baptized.

Good News!!

Today I went back to the doctor and guess what?? Baby was head down!! I was so excited and I immediately erased the word c-section from my brain!!

Sal asked if I thought it was the appointments at the Chiropractor. To be honest, I am not sure. I do know that after Dr. Hirschi worked on me, the baby would move all over the place. It was as if he had tons of extra space. It wasn't long after one of the appointments that I did feel feet in my ribs. What a great feeling!!

I go back in 2 weeks and then I start weekly appointments. I can't believe we are near the end. I am so grateful to be close, but I hope he decides to stay in and grow for a few more weeks.

Thanks to Shauna and Gram for my receiving blankets and burp cloth. I love and miss you both. Hugs and kisses!!

America: A Nation of SLOBS!!

Everyday as I eat my sandwich for lunch, I read the newspaper. First the celebrity news (John Mayer says Twitter came between he and Jennifer - yea right) then onto the obituaries (yes everyday I make sure I am not in there) and third the editorials (people's opinions just make me laugh!) Today in the paper was this editorial written by Froma Harrop at the Providence Journal.

I loved it although I didn't think she went far enough.... pants on the ground, thongs hanging out the TOP of pants, PJ's at the grocery store, beach flip flops at CHURCH?? Read the article here and let me know what you think.....

This TOTALLY takes me back......

So this song was voted the #1 sexiest song EVER..... I remember being in the Hadley's basement with Kierstin and we watched and sang and acted out this video OVER and OVER and OVER again. At the time I had no clue what this song meant.... hello in 1981 I was.....7!! I hope I wouldn't know the REAL meaning at that age....

WATCH and ENJOY! It totally cracks me up!!

Super Bowl Hangover....

Yesterday we hosted the ??th Annual Heiner Super Bowl party. We had such a great time. Thanks everyone for bringing great food. Clark's Super Bowl quiz was pretty difficult, but I am happy to say I won all $11. I think that is enough for Yogurt Jungle!! ;o) It pays to study I guess. I think we were all disappointed by the Colts loss, but the Espi's were even more disappointed that the Cardinals weren't playing. AND thanks to Kurt Warner's retirement, I doubt they will be Super Bowl bound again this century!!

I keep hoping the Cardinals will pick up Michael Vick. Like Leinart can really play in the NFL!! Hey, we can run the Wildcat offense as good as anyone.....

However, today I have a hangover..... not because I drank too much (I only had one Throwback Pepsi!!), but because I realized football is over until August. Whatever will we do with our weekends??

Thankfully the Olympics start on Friday and Sal and I are looking forward to the curling competition. Believe me we have spent many nights curling on Wii. I have yet to beat Sal and I think it will NEVER happen!!

But we will be watching starting Friday. After that? Do we REALLY HAVE to watch and cheer for the Diamondbacks?? I think watching Hayden and Cole play Little League will be WAY more entertaining even if Hayden is on the Yankees - makes me hurl just thinking about those pinstripes!!

Anyway, just wondering if you are having a football hangover today too......

PS: As far as I can tell the baby is STILL breech. ;o(
