Baby is STILL breech......

Sigh.... I just got home from the doctor and this baby boy is still breech. They are not concerned about it yet as he still has plenty of time to turn. HOWEVER, the thought of having a C-Section is incredibly frightening!! Unless I can talk them into doing a tummy tuck at the same time. ;o)

If he hasn't turned by the next visit at 32 weeks, I guess I will have to start all of the old wives tales to try to turn him. Anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions? I am ALL ears!!

Disney on Ice

Saturday night Sal and I went on a double date with our kids. Sal took the boys to Supercross and Liv and I went to see Disney on Ice. It was Liv's first time seeing the Disney show and I think she wasn't sure what to expect. We talked about going all week, but she kept asking if I would help her skate. In fact she seemed quite disappointed that she wouldn't be skating at all. Luckily, once we got there she was fine to sit and watch the Disney characters skate. In fact she sat on my lap and danced along with the music. A few times she did ask if I would teach her how to skate when she got a little bit older. Little does she know I dreamed of being a figure skater when I was little. I remember watching Katarina Witt and Brian Boitano skate at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics and I knew I could be a skater too. Yea right!! I think I went skating once for a Young Woman's activity and I was horrible! That was the end of that dream for me.

All Olivia wanted was a sno-cone in a Tinkerbell cup and a light up twirly thing so at halftime (that is what I call it, though I think it is really called an intermission), we went and got her a sno-cone and a Cinderella/Snow White/Sleeping Beauty light up twirly thing.

She was in HEAVEN!!

She had the BEST time and said her favorite part was "watching all the princesses."

We had amazing seats and Liv could see everything. She LOVED "all the beautiful colors." She kept saying to me, "Mom, isn't that beautiful?" "Oh mom, look at that beautiful butterfly." Isn't it the BEST to watch how excited our kids get at the littlest things?
Needless to say, Liv was EXHAUSTED and it didn't take her long to fall asleep on the way home. I can't wait to take her again!

Where in the world is Hayden Espericueta?

Hayden was one of the 10 finalist in the schools Geography Bee. It was so fun to go today and watch him compete in the final rounds.

For some reason I am always the nervous mother who sits in the back and tries to compose herself. How can my heart not be overwhelm with happiness when I see Hayden stand at the podium? The answers make no difference to me, he could be right or wrong, but he is still my Hayden. I have no idea where his knowledge comes from and everyday he amazes my by the things he says or the things he knows. He is bright, but more than that he tries hard and he wants to be successful.
Congratulations Hayden, you never cease to amaze me!! I LOVE you!

First Class Scout

Hayden has been counting the days..... He no longer needs to call himself a Tenderfoot! At the Court of Honor tonight, he officially received his First and Second class Scout ranks. The goal in our Ward is to have each boy be a Star Scout BEFORE they turn 12. Hayden is well on his way to meeting that goal. In fact, all he needs to complete his Star is 2 more service hours and 2 more merit badges. Hayden will have that done by his 12th birthday no problem.

Hayden loves Scouting and has decided that he can get his Eagle before he is 14. If he keeps working hard I know he can do it.

Hayden, I am so proud of you. Keep your goal in focus and you can achieve anything! I love you!

Our Baby Boy at 28 Weeks

Today I had my 28 week appointment and my LOVELY glucose test. I can't believe this pregnancy is almost over. It is weird how fast it truly does go.

The doctor also did an ultrasound just to see his growth in 10 weeks. He has been measuing about 4 days ahead of schedule, but this time he was 3 days behind. Nothing to worry about and they did not move my due date. He weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces and they said he is right at 50 percentile for size. If I carry him to the end I can expect a normal 7 pound baby. He was in the Frank breech position which means his butt is down and his legs and head are up in my ribs. Hopefully he will realize he is upside down and turn around before trying to come out!

I got some pretty cute 3D pictures of his face and a cute profile picture and then of course the boy shot to make sure nothing fell off in the past 10 weeks. He is definitely a boy!! ;o) We are still undecided on a first name. My vote is Mason Price Espericueta, but Sal is not buying Mason. Price is of course after my Gramps and come to find out he had an uncle named Mason so I think it is PERFECT!! Help me convince Sal...... if you see him suggest the name Mason...... I think it will grow on him! ;o)
